Join our flamenco classes on Mondays, 7pm to 8pm at The Bimbo Factory, in Pawtucket, RI.

The class will be hosted by Mariana Paes, founder of Flamenco RI. Upon registering and sending your donation through Venmo or Zelle, you will receive the link for the class. All ages welcomed, no flamenco shoes or dance experience required.

And to get ready for our first class, some tips:
🌹If you don’t have flamenco shoes yet, no worries. You can wear character or folklorico shoes or flat soled sneakers. Avoid ballroom dance shoes as they are too soft for the flamenco footwork
🌹Wear comfy clothes that allow you to move well. Skirts will be available for you to borrow if you want/ need.
🌹Bring a water bottle. Hydration is essential for a healthy dance practice.
🌹The first choreo you will learn will be to the sound of “Al Titi”, by Esperanza Fernandez. It is a Flamenco rhythm (palo) called Tangos, and you will also learn the history of Tangos and its connection with Latin American music.

Our workshop is open to all ages and abilities. And no prior dance experience is needed.
